Plans, organizes, and effectively conducts/presents employee training initiatives on various skill, policy,and compliance areas based on regulatory requirements and agency needs; Schedules training sessions for various Agency requirements; Conducts trainings at various Agency sites and times, as needed Serves as a training resource for staff and community; Utilizes community resources for staff training; Continually assess agency-wide developmental needs; researches and identifies areas in which training is requiredand/or beneficial to drive training initiatives. Evaluates, and makes recommendations on existing or proposed programs; suggests and implements suitable changes; acquires new training materials upon approval of the HR Director. Reviews all training material on annual schedule; updates as needed Administers, scores, and logs results of qualification, learning assessment, and retention tests; arranges retraining or other appropriate action for insufficient scores. Utilize a database to record training received by each agency employee. Provide training on accessing this database as needed. Support various Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement activities including conducting internal audits and inspections and drafting plans for improvement as assigned. Mentor and support other instructors and peers in the Agency. Register staff for and coordinate off-site training such as seminars or conferences. This includes coordinating employees' stay when necessary. Facilitates delivery of training by reserving and setting up needed audiovisual equipment and training rooms; scheduling training times with attendees; preparing and distributing training aids such as handouts; Maintain all training certifications in specific areas as required by certificate Agency (CPR, SCIP etc.); Serve as a resource for other staff; Serve on agency committees as assigned; Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor; This position requires at least a 3-week (21 days) notice for voluntary resignation of employment. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma and 2 years' experience in training & development Prior experience in a Human Service Agency strongly preferred LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze and interpret information from professionals in various disciplines, professional journals and technical procedures. Ability to effectively write reports, business correspondence and various forms of documentation. Ability to communicate information to individuals served, families, support system other providers, professionals, co-workers and supervisors. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical, complex and multi-variable problems. Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. COMPUTERSKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
