- PARTS DRIVER - Part TimeThompsons Toyota - Placerville, CA 95667## OverviewSalary Range$16.50 - $16.50 HourlyCategoryParts## Description**Position Summary** The Delivery Driver plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering parts, vehicles, and other essential items promptly and professionally. This position supports the Sales, Service, and Parts departments with smooth and reliable delivery services to customers and partner locations.**Core Responsibilities*** Customer Deliveries: Deliver vehicles, parts, or other materials directly to customers or between Thompsons locations, ensuring timely and professional service.* Inspection & Documentation: Conduct vehicle or parts inspections before and after deliveries to ensure accuracy and condition. Complete required paperwork accurately.* Route Planning: Plan efficient delivery routes to meet deadlines and maximize productivity.* Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service during drop-offs, maintaining professionalism and courtesy.* Communication: Coordinate delivery schedules with Sales, Parts, and Service teams to ensure smooth operations.* Vehicle Care: Keep delivery vehicles clean and in good working condition by reporting any issues promptly.* Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during deliveries.## Qualifications**Skills & Competencies*** Customer Service Focus: Provide friendly, professional interactions with customers to support Thompsons' exceptional service goals.* Detail-Oriented: Accurately inspect items for delivery and complete necessary documentation.* Communication Skills: Maintain clear communication with internal teams and customers to coordinate delivery activities.* Time Management: Plan and execute routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules.* Teamwork: Work closely with Sales, Service, and Parts teams to meet shared goals.* Accountability: Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure deliveries meet company standards.**Physical Requirements*** Environment: Work involves both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to various weather conditions.* Sitting/Driving: Prolonged sitting while driving delivery vehicles.* Standing/Walking: Occasional standing and walking during loading/unloading.* Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.* Mobility: Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing in and out of vehicles.* Repetitive Motion: Regular use of hands for steering, paperwork, and loading/unloading.**Expectations & Performance Standards*** Integrity: Handle deliveries with care and honesty, ensuring the correct items are delivered on time.* Servant’s Attitude: Prioritize the needs of customers and departments, going the extra mile to provide exceptional service.* Accountability: Take responsibility for vehicle condition, delivery timelines, and accurate documentation.* Continuous Improvement: Be open to feedback and continuously improve delivery routes and processes.* Teamwork: Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.* Fun: Maintain a positive attitude, contributing to an upbeat work environment that reflects Thompsons' values.**Education & Experience*** High school diploma or equivalent preferred.* Previous driving or delivery experience is a plus but not required.**Certificates, Licenses & Registrations*** Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
