Job Title: Production Operator -

Job Description:

We are seeking dependable Production Operators to support our automated manufacturing processes. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading metal parts from press machines, performing basic machine operations, and conducting quality inspections. This is a straightforward, repetitive position ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery by loading, starting, and stopping equipment as required
• Load raw materials into press machines according to work instructions
• Perform quality inspections using measuring tools and gauges
• Move raw materials and finished products using pallet jacks
• Assist with equipment setup and changeovers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to learn basic machine operation and quality inspection processes
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime as needed
• Steel-toed shoes required

Preferred Skills:

• Prior machine operation experience (may qualify for higher pay)
• Experience with quality inspection tools and processes
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience operating forklifts or overhead cranes

Work Environment:

This position is based in the Stamping Department, which operates four 10-hour shifts. Overtime is mandatory on Fridays during peak production periods (summer months).

The environment is a fast-paced manufacturing floor with automated machinery and is not climate-controlled. This role involves repetitive, process-driven tasks.

• Primary shift: 1st shift, Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Candidates with experience in steel or heavy manufacturing environments are strongly preferred

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Batesville, IN.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
