Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in State College, Pennsylvania. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery Shift Information Days 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM; 3 shifts per week, every other weekend Minimum Years of Experience 2 years Certifications/Requirements ACLS BLS/BCLS NRP Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable to the Unit Director for overall nursing practice. This role involves assessing childbearing women (from adolescence to middle adulthood), neonates, and family needs, developing care plans, implementing nursing interventions, and evaluating care outcomes for the served population. Minimum Requirements Education Completion of an accredited registered nurse program is required. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Ability to function effectively as a team member and a liaison between patients and staff. Supportive and encouraging communication skills. Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills. Professional communication at all times. High level of mental and emotional resilience, displaying tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and professionalism in interactions with patients, families, and coworkers. License/Certification/Registration Current Pennsylvania RN licensure. Meets American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews every two years. Holds Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification and renews every two years. Meets American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and renews every two years. Supervision Received Minimal supervision is received from the Director of Women & Children's Services. Essential Functions Assist women and infants in achieving optimal health through assessment and development of care plans. Support family dynamics and interactions to enhance health outcomes. Identify at-risk families and provide interventions and resources as needed. Foster a safe and supportive environment conducive to recovery and wellness. Educate patients and families on women's health issues and childbirth. Maintain professional knowledge and skills related to the care of women and infants.
