RN - Med 1 Med Surg Tele - Los Alamitos - FT Nights

Position Summary This position is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: delegation of tasks and duties to team members; synthesizing patient information; assessment and care appropriate to the age of the patients served, with appropriate nursing interventions; creating and updating the patient plan of care. Ensures that all physician orders are carried appropriately are also responsibilities of the Registered Nurse. Patient and family education are provided by the Registered Nurse. Integration of patient care standards are incorporated into all clinical activities. Required Qualifications Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Current California Registered Nurse license All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) All external candidates must have a valid ONS Oncology Certification Course Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms One year of acute care experience in Medical - Surgical Nursing Total Rewards We offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding.
