New Hire Rate: ($16.25/hr) 

Shift: 2pm-10pm or 3pm-10

Essential Functions

• Cleans and services resident rooms, bathrooms, utility rooms, hallways, dining areas, common areas, and office areas as assigned including, but not limited to:

o Dust mopping, sweeping, and wet mopping

o Vacuuming carpeted areas

o Dusting furniture and fixtures

o Cleaning and sanitizing sinks, bathroom fixtures, closets and drawers etc.

o Emptying trash receptacles

o Spot clean walls

o Washing windows

o Stocking facility with soap, paper towels, trash bags etc.

• Cleans and services resident rooms and common areas according to the Room of the Day schedule/policy and other cleaning policies and procedures.

• Monitors drapes and curtains for cleanliness and reports any needs.

• Maintains housekeeping closets in clean, orderly condition.

• Maintains the assigned housekeeping cart in good order and stocked with necessary supplies.

• Uses supplies as directed and in the appropriate quantity

• Adheres to the facility policies and procedures

• Other duties as determined by the Environmental Services Director.

• Adheres to rules of attendance as outlined and received on orientation to the facility.

• Must be able to work cooperatively as a team.

• Keeps confidential all patient/employee information received.

• Processes linens in accordance to building policy.

• Processes resident’s personal laundry in accordance to building policy.

• Delivers the appropriate number of clean linens to the nursing units according to schedule.

• Collects soiled linens and resident’s personal laundry from the nursing units on a daily scheduled basis.

• Delivers clean resident’s personal laundry on a daily basis ensuring that items are neat, wrinkle free, and in the correct resident’s closet.

• Maintains laundry rooms in clean, organized condition.

• Performs daily cleaning in the laundry rooms including sweeping, wet mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a clean and sanitary work area

• Reports any maintenance concerns identified.

• Uses supplies as directed and in the appropriate quantity.
