Job Description

Job Summary:
Assist in the surgical procedures within the CVOR unit by providing skilled circulating or scrub technician support. Ensure sterile protocol adherence and facilitate smooth operation of surgical cases.

Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies for scheduled surgeries.
Assist surgeons and nursing staff by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields.
Monitor patient status and ensure all safety and procedural protocols are followed.
Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures and equipment usage.
Sterilize and restock surgical instruments post-procedure to uphold facility standards.
Support team members in emergency situations requiring immediate action.

Qualifications:

Valid CST/ORT certification or equivalent credential.
Minimum of 2 years of CVOR surgical experience.
Proven ability to scrub or circulate for complex cardiac and thoracic surgeries.
Knowledge of EMR systems and surgical instrument handling.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts.
Strong communication skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
