Senior Software Engineer

Salary: $78,750 - 131,250 per year Requirements:

• We need 6+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting enterprise software applications, with a track record of delivering scalable solutions.
• We need experience building and supporting cloud-native applications and distributed systems, including containerized and Kubernetes-based deployments.
• We need experience leading technical initiatives, guiding solution design conversations, and applying software architecture and system design patterns to complex business needs.
• We need familiarity with Agile software development practices and cross-functional collaboration across product, architecture, engineering, design, and quality assurance.
• We need a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant professional experience.
• We need strong programming skills in Java, Python, and Bash or shell scripting, with experience using Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
• We need hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Bigtable, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Identity and Access Management.
• We need experience with Docker, Kubernetes, preferably Google Kubernetes Engine, Apache Kafka, PostgreSQL, and cloud database design and performance tuning.
• We need experience developing and maintaining continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using Git and automated deployment or infrastructure management tools.
• We need experience with unit, integration, and functional testing, as well as production debugging, logging, monitoring, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Preferred: experience designing highly available, resilient, and scalable distributed systems.
• Preferred: experience developing event-driven architectures and streaming solutions.
• Preferred: knowledge of cloud security, scalability, and performance optimization principles.
• Preferred: experience supporting mission-critical production applications and participating in incident management.
• Preferred: familiarity with Harness, Puppet, Google Kubernetes Engine, and advanced observability practices.

• We design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and services using Java, Python, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
• We lead the design and implementation of complex features across multiple components and distributed systems, ensuring our solutions are reliable, maintainable, and aligned with architectural standards.
• We build and support cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Bigtable, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Identity and Access Management services.
• We improve application performance, scalability, database design, and system reliability through tuning, automation, and engineering best practices.
• We develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and infrastructure processes using Git, Harness, Puppet, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• We troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, implement preventive measures, and take part in on-call and incident management processes.
• We enhance application observability by implementing monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and cloud-based tools.
• We provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, conduct code and design reviews, and promote reusable code, automation, and engineering excellence.
• We partner with Product Managers, Architects, User Experience Designers, Quality Assurance teams, and other stakeholders to turn business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• We participate in sprint planning, estimation, and Agile ceremonies while delivering commitments with a strong focus on quality, security, and reliability.

This is a hybrid position, with work performed both virtually and in person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days per week.
