Couple of days a week onsite Looking for a candidate with trading/financial industry experience. Job details: You will be doing trade desk support, handling first and second level support, requests, incidents, production support. Trading industry experience, Unix workstations, Unix commands, MySQL, Python/bash scripting. Linux desktop support experience. Handle L1 thru L3 level support of service requests/incidents in a professional and timely manner. Customer service and production support are the most important aspects of this role. A degree is a must. You will need 5+ years of experience supporting Linux on the frontend and Linux on the backend (trade application support on the frontend and connected to the backend). Linux performance log files, Python and Perl for automation. If you do not have trade support, you must have financial application support on front and back production support. Must have strong unix/linux. Responsibilities: Monitoring and alerting of critical trading system environments. Proactive identification and resolution of production issues. Development of tools and driving efficiency/stability improvements/ automation with scripting. Troubleshooting of complex systems issues. Required: Previous experience in the trading industry. Strong working knowledge of UNIX environment/Unix commands. Basic database knowledge (MySQL). Strong scripting knowledge - Python/Bash.
