Job Title: Interior Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Designer to coordinate workplace and corporate interiors projects through all phases of design and documentation. The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating and maintaining project drawings, models, renderings, and presentation materials using Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute and review design and technical documentation through Design Development and Construction Documents phases.

• Produce renderings and visual presentations to communicate design concepts and support client meetings.

• Coordinate FF&E selections, specifications, vendor communications, and design intent throughout project execution.

• Prepare and support client presentations, project meetings, and presentation decks.

• Collaborate with internal project teams to align on scope, budgets, schedules, and project deliverables.

• Track project hours, workload, and phase progression to ensure deadlines and project milestones are met.

• Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and project stakeholders to maintain project accuracy and progress.

• Review project deliverables for quality, consistency, and adherence to client and project standards.

• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and consultants while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Work independently with minimal oversight while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).

• Experience with workplace and corporate interiors projects.

• Knowledge across all phases of a project including schematic design and construction documents.

• FF&E experience, including reviewing specifications, vendor coordination, and design intent.

• Ability to manage project hours and phase tracking to meet project schedules and deadlines.

• Experience supporting client presentations and meetings with presentation materials and decks.

• Experience coordinating with internal teams regarding project scope, budgets, and deadlines.

• Strong communication skills and self-motivation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Design from an accredited school.

• 5+ years of experience in workplace or corporate interiors projects.

• Accreditation in LEED, NCARB, NCIDQ, and/or WELL is a plus.

• Experience with Enscape and Miro is a plus.

Work Environment

The position is based in our Chicago office, which has an open, colorful layout with plants, lounge areas, and natural light. The office features a central material library with sunlight and meeting rooms on the perimeter. Employees enjoy a flexible hybrid work schedule, with 3 days per week in the office and core hours from 10 AM to 3 PM. The office is close to a train station, and there is a gym membership available for purchase along with dining options in the lobby. Most employees prefer to start early and leave early, and overtime hours are not anticipated.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.26/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
