Why This Role Matters Lead high‑impact mobile veterinary services that reach underserved communities Combine leadership with hands‑on operations and problem solving Work with a passionate, purpose‑driven team Make real‑time decisions that improve efficiency, safety, and patient care Enjoy variety—no two days or locations are the same What You’ll Do Mobile Surgery Operations Coordinate staff assignments, travel routes, and clinic logistics Ensure compliance with HQHVSN protocols and veterinary best practices Monitor patient flow from intake through recovery and dischargeTroubleshoot equipment, space, weather, and workflow challenges on‑site Lead setup and breakdown of mobile units while maintaining organized, safe workspaces Manage mobile and stationary community vaccine clinics Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of vaccines and medical supplies Supervise client flow and accurate medical recordkeeping Coordinate with medical teams for safe administration of vaccines, microchips, and preventatives Supervise veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff Train new employees in workflow, safety procedures, and client communication Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations Foster a supportive, collaborative, and high‑functioning team culture Logistics, Inventory & Compliance Develop weekly and monthly clinic schedules Maintain accurate records for surgeries, vaccines, microchips, and medical logs Track, order, and manage medical supplies and equipment Maintain DEA and regulatory logs when applicable Coordinate maintenance of mobile units and clinic equipment Ensure compliance with OSHA, veterinary board regulations, and internal safety protocols Client & Community Relations Serve as the primary on‑site contact for clients and partner organizations Support outreach events and community partnerships Required Qualifications Experience in veterinary medicine or animal welfare Management or supervisory experience Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills Ability to safely and confidently handle animals of all sizes and temperaments Comfortable working in mobile and outdoor environments Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Minimum age of 25 (insurance requirement) Experience driving large vehicles Clear written and verbal communication Preferred Qualifications Veterinary Technician experience HQHVSN experience Prior mobile clinic or community outreach experience Physical & Work Environment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Prolonged standing and physical activity Comfortable handling animals, surgical instruments, and biohazards Work occurs in mobile units and community settings Schedule Full‑time position requiring early mornings, weekends, and daily travel.
