Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Floor nursing experience Description: The facility provides inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The facility is accredited by The Joint Commission as well as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities for inpatient rehabilitation. It was nationally ranked in the top 6% of rehabilitation hospitals for 2017. Designed to promote recuperation outside the traditional hospital setting, the rehabilitation hospital incorporates unique features to assist in rehabilitation. These features include a brain-injury unit with monitored rooms, specialized beds, patient lifts, and dedicated therapy space. There is a dedicated stroke care unit equipped with specialized equipment. Gymnasiums feature high-tech therapy devices and treatments. Private, family-friendly rooms are available, including sleeper chairs. A special apartment is provided for patients and families to practice daily living tasks. Pet therapy and recreational programs are part of the services offered. An outdoor healing garden and walking trail assist in rehabilitation efforts. The patient population includes adults, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 7:1. Workstations on wheels and patient lifts are part of the available equipment. The electronic health record systems in use include EPIC and UDS. The supervisor for this position is the Chief Nursing Officer.
