Public Health Nurse II (Clinical Nurse)

Staff Nurse

The primary function of this position is as a staff nurse in all health department clinics. The program areas in which the nurse provides direct patient care include: General Clinic, Immunizations, Family Planning, Maternal Health, Child Health, Intake, and as an Enhanced Role Nurse in STD clinic. This position also functions as the back-up to the Adult Day Health Specialist.

Typical Qualifications

Minimum education and experience: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing and one year of professional nursing experience.

Special qualifications desired: A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the N.C. Board of Nursing.

Work schedule: Monday – Friday / 8:00am – 5:00 pm
