Transporter

Job Summary Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs transporter duties including escorting patients by stretcher, wheelchair or bed for treatment, testing, admission, discharge, and intra‑hospital transfers. Also delivers specimens, patient charts, and other hospital materials to specified departments or areas. Duties may be expanded at the discretion of the Detroit Medical Center. Qualifications Ability to read and write instructions and perform general clerical functions related to the job. No previous related experience required; one to four weeks of on‑the‑job training.
