Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our outpatient office in the heart of Orange Park, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function in alignment with each patient's individual capabilities.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional levels using diagnostic assessments that measure muscle, nerve, joint, and overall functional abilities.
• Oversee and guide Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring effective execution of prescribed treatment plans while also providing mentorship and supervision as required by state law.
• Administer various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, traction, and the application of physical agents while instructing patients and their families on exercise regimens.
• Adjust and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices as needed, providing recommendations for improvements to the referring physician and collaborating with the healthcare team.
• Maintain precise clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards and is submitted timely.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review and enhance patient care plans, aligning treatment approaches with overall health goals.
• Engage in ongoing communication with patients and their families regarding rehabilitation strategies and progress, ensuring clear understanding and adherence to prescribed therapy.
• Conduct on-site assessments of the patient's home environment to identify barriers and recommend modifications that enhance patient independence.
• Adapt treatment methods based on patient response and progress, consistently seeking ways to improve outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will work predominantly with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, geriatric conditions, and post-traumatic events. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (Doctorate preferred).

• Current CPR certification.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Compensation and Benefits
