Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhere.We are searching for a Medical Assistant to join our agency. This role is responsible for patient intake, vital signs, care coordination, referrals, specimen collection, diagnostic testing, follow-up outreach, exam room preparation, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Take and document vital signs, smoking status, and immunization statusPerform pre-visit planning and care management tasksCoordinate patient flow and prepare patients for proceduresConduct basic diagnostic testing (finger sticks, urine dipsticks, etc.)Collect and process specimensTrack overdue labs and imaging and escalate abnormal resultsManage referrals and obtain discharge summariesContact patients for follow-up careEducate patients and caregivers on health managementMaintain medical supplies and equipmentClean and prepare exam roomsReview provider schedules and support quality improvement effortsRequirements:A diploma from an accredited medical assistant program or a two-year medical assistant associate degree required.At least one year of job-related experience, specifically in a medical settingMust be at least 18 years old to apply for this position and able to lift a minimum of 50 poundsAt The Center for Disability Services, we don’t just accept difference – we celebrate it, support it, and thrive on it for the benefit of our employees and the people we support.
