This position is located in Evergreen Park at Evergreen Behavioral Health, an outpatient department of Chicago Behavioral Hospital.

Your Work Matters How will you make a difference?

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Emergency Department (ED) Crisis Coordinator to join our team at Chicago Behavioral Hospital !

As an Emergency Department (ED) Crisis Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the process of responding to referrals and other requests for services and information. You will provide technical assistance to the discharge planning process under the direction of the Director of Intake and offer general support to the case management program.

• Document and process inquiry calls according to Intake policies.
• Assess and stabilize patients before discharge or arrange hospital admission.
• Notify and assist the on-call doctor with patient interviews.
• Obtain administrative approval for all admissions.
• Complete admission paperwork following hospital policy.
• Maintain an intake log with all necessary information documented.
• Make follow-up calls to patients who fail to show up for appointments.
• Demonstrate guest relations by example and provide counseling to employees in need of training.

Your Experience Matters What we're looking for:

• Education & Licensure: A Master's Degree in a human relations field is preferred. Licensed to practice in the State of Illinois as a mental health professional or RN preferred.
• Experience: Experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting, preferred.

Compensation:

This is a full-time role and the compensation range for this role is $26.00 - $35.00 an hour. We're eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level. Join us as our Emergency Department (ED) Crisis Coordinator!
