Client Service Representative

Veterinary Surgical Centers (VSC) is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Client Service Representative to our team at the Rarebreed clinic in Gaithersburg, Maryland. What You'll Do Ensure that clients and pets feel welcome and comfortable Demonstrate excellent relations with clients/pets in waiting and/or exam rooms Keep clients informed of expected delays and wait times Answer telephone calls quickly, efficiently and in a professional and friendly manner using a multi‑line system Receive and relay client correspondence and update client financial records Answer clients’ inquiries about basic animal care questions and routine procedures Handle invoices and payment transactions Receive and relay telephone, fax, and email messages accurately and promptly Maintain appointment schedule; set appointments with complete information, monitor schedule for accuracy, confirm appointments, follow up on missed appointments, and input new client data into the appointment schedule program Maintain accuracy with cash drawer, credit card‑scratch pay and CareCredit transactions Flexibility in working hours is required to ensure that the job is done properly Maintain the cleanliness of the front office area, ensuring all proper supplies are stocked adequately; follow daily task checklist Follow hospital cleaning checklists Benefits Great pay with competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage 401(k) with company match of up to 4% after 6 months of service Generous paid time off Mental Health Resources Pet Care: discounts on veterinary services and products Pet Diagnostics: discounts on reference lab testing Pet Food: discounts on Purina pet foods Pet Insurance: discounts available with our preferred vendor Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience working as a Veterinary Receptionist/CSR is preferred but not required Employment will require the successful completion of references and background check.
