Advanced Practice Provider - Behavioral Health NP/PA

Essential Responsibilities- Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed patient medical histories.
- Diagnose and manage a variety of acute and chronic behavioral health conditions.
- Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies within your scope of practice.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory work and imaging studies.
- Educate and counsel patients on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and pursue continuous professional development.
- Adhere to all regulatory, legal, and ethical standards governing clinical practice.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- National board certification such as AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA.
- Active DEA registration if applicable.
- Advanced clinical training or certification in a relevant specialty.
- Experience in a similar behavioral health role or specialty.
- Additional certifications or specialized training in behavioral medicine.
- Strong clinical knowledge of common behavioral health conditions and treatments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and patient advocacy.
Physical Requirements Medium work involving occasional exertion up to 50 lbs and frequent exertion up to 10 lbs. Expect to stand or walk 26-50% of the workday, with or without accommodation.
