Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift (Melt Department)

We're looking for a motivated and people-focused Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations, develop employees, and help drive a culture of safety, trust, teamwork and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

Leadership & Employee Development

• Lead and develop production employees through coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management.
• Foster a culture built on safety, accountability, teamwork, and respect.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support employee growth initiatives.
• Communicate expectations clearly and provide timely feedback and recognition.
• Promote employee engagement and support a positive work environment.

Operations & Production

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met.
• Drive productivity, quality, and waste reduction initiatives.
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and other departments to support operational success.
• Monitor workflow, staffing, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
• Address production challenges and implement effective solutions.

Continuous Improvement & Safety

• Support and participate in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
• Support Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System requirements.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of manufacturing, industrial, foundry, metal processing, or related production experience.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong ability to prioritize, delegate, and follow up on multiple responsibilities.
• Proven coaching, employee development, and team-building skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and shifts.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and urgency.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Manufacturing, Metallurgy, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working within Lean Manufacturing environments.
• Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or related certification.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
