Field Operations Manager, ITAS CLS Program

Position Overview Onsite position in Louisville, KY (US-KY-LOUISVILLE-500). Only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required Secret security clearance (current on day one). The role involves leading a geographically dispersed workforce, including field service representatives, logistics personnel, depot technicians, and subcontractors, to support ITAS CLS operations. Key Responsibilities Communicate with Program Managers, section managers, customers, and subcontractors to ensure program requirements are met. Attend and host tag‑ups with Field Engineers, depot personnel, and Program Managers. Oversee Field Service Representatives, logistics personnel, depot technicians, and subcontractor activities for domestic and international ITAS sustainment operations. Coordinate program finance using EVMS principles to keep budgets on track and support funding forecasts. Create Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and prepare them for functional and program approval. Support development, coordination, and execution of customer‑funded Technical Directives (TDs), including cost estimating and funding requirements. Coordinate logistics and depot activities to support operational readiness, repair execution, inventory management, and material movement. Provide briefings for field engineers on company and program expectations and advise FSR leadership on training, hiring, and workforce development. Work with the Field Engineering Directorate to staff programs by sharing resources, supporting requisitions, and participating in interview panels. Travel up to 25% of the time, including occasional OCONUS trips of 1–2 weeks. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance. Prior experience in field operations management focused on customer engagement, operational execution, and end‑user support. Experience managing geographically dispersed workforce across field service, logistics, maintenance, or technical support. Experience overseeing contractor or subcontractor performance, including compliance, quality, staffing, training, and safety. Experience coordinating multiple functional disciplines such as logistics, sustainment, supply chain, and operations support. Experience working directly with customers to identify requirements, develop solutions, and execute customer‑funded work. Experience supporting program execution activities such as cost estimating, funding forecasts, technical directives, statements of work, proposals, or similar processes. Preferred Qualifications Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate technical concepts into actionable solutions. Strong time‑management and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities. Familiarity with project‑management tools and methodologies. Experience in the aerospace and defense industry or a related sector. Knowledge of international regulations and compliance standards related to field operations and deployments. Experience implementing process improvements to enhance end‑user satisfaction and operational efficiency. Knowledge of the proposal process and experience assisting employees in deployed environments.
