Job Opportunity

This is a Night Shifts opportunity for a Medical-Surgical Neuro Registered Nurse (RN) with a requirement for floating between units. Ideal candidates will possess NIHSS certification and demonstrate proficiency in neuro skills.

Shift Details

• Shift Schedule: 3x12-Hour Night Shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• On-Call Requirement: Yes, must remain on call if canceled from a shift
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend
• Expected Patient Ratios: 1:4

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience with neuro patients
• Certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Skills:
  • CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident)
  • Isolation Precautions/PPE
  • Medical/Surgical Nursing
  • Non-invasive Airway Management
  • Peripheral Line Care/Management
  • Pre/Post Neurosurgery Care
  • Spinal Cord Injury Management
  • Substance Withdrawal Treatment
  • Management of Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Use of Rapid Response/Code Teams

Unit Details

• Type of Facility: Short-Term Acute Care
• Total Staff Beds: 536
• Scrub Color: Any color; OR/Cath Lab scrubs provided
• Charting System: Epic

Additional Information

Candidates must have reliable transportation for this assignment. Travelers are expected to float between units based on their skill sets. If required to float to specific facilities, additional compensation may be provided along with lodging options for consecutive shifts.
