If you're seeking career growth and new experiences, we have an opening for a part time Cook I who will be responsible for preparing and cooking all food items according to menus, expedite orders quickly and correctly as ordered, and ensuring junior members of team are performing duties to standards and specifications. As a part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, we engage a diverse audience of theater enthusiasts, food connoisseurs, and entertainment seekers. What you will be doing: Prepare station-specific food items according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality. Monitor product storage, portion sizes, and special items like stocks and sauces. Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas to meet Health Department regulations. Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and operational. Uphold high standards of food production and presentation. Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices. Manage station setup, breakdown, and prep work. Follow recipe specifications for all food preparation. What we are looking for: Previous cooking experience required, minimum of 3 years in a similar position preferred, Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred. Afternoon/Night availability is required. High school diploma preferred. Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use all kitchen equipment, i.e., knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc. Ability to lift, push, or pull weights up to 100 pounds. Ability to stand for long periods, work in a confined space with high levels of noise and frequent interruptions, and perform duties within extreme temperature ranges. Ability to obtain any local, state or federal license or certification for sanitation, liquor service, or food service certification. Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure. What's in it for you?
