Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

Location: Minooka, IL
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Salary: $95,000 – $105,000 (Exempt)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our fast-paced 24/7 logistics and distribution operation in Minooka, Illinois. The HRBP will serve as a strategic partner to operations leadership, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, talent development, compliance, and workforce planning while ensuring a positive employee experience.

This role requires a hands-on HR professional who thrives in an operational environment, builds strong relationships with leaders and employees, and can effectively balance business objectives with employee needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with site leadership to support business objectives and drive a positive workplace culture.
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, corrective actions, investigations, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
• Lead full-cycle employee relations activities, including investigations, documentation, and resolution of workplace concerns.
• Support recruiting efforts by partnering with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to ensure timely staffing of operational positions.
• Analyze workforce metrics including turnover, attendance, retention, and engagement, and recommend action plans to improve results.
• Facilitate onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a positive employee experience.
• Partner with operations leadership to identify training and development opportunities for supervisors and employees.
• Assist with performance reviews, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.
• Support leave administration, accommodations, and workers' compensation processes in partnership with corporate HR.
• Promote employee engagement through recognition programs, communication initiatives, and culture-building activities.
• Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information and HR matters.
• Participate in special HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives to support operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 3–5+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or warehouse operations.
• Strong employee relations and investigation experience.
• Working knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, and state employment regulations.
• Experience supporting high-volume hourly workforces in a multi-shift or 24/7 operation.
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, coaching, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build credibility and influence at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
