Leading at Impetus

Impetus is hiring an experienced Account Manager to lead and grow a strategic Banking & Financial Services (BFSI) account. This role is ideal for an individual who combines a strong farmer mindset with a hunter's instinct to identify and create new opportunities within an existing account.

The Account Manager will be responsible for expanding Impetus' footprint by strengthening executive relationships, driving revenue growth, uncovering new buying centers, and positioning Impetus' Data, AI, Cloud, Analytics, and Digital Engineering capabilities across the client organization.

The ideal candidate will understand customer-centric value creation, balance long-term strategic relationships with short-term business objectives, and possess the ability to navigate complex enterprise environments to drive measurable growth.

Skills Required

Strategic Account Management

• Develop and execute a strategic account plan to drive sustained revenue growth and profitability.
• Achieve a minimum of 20% YoY growth within the assigned account.
• Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for client stakeholders.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities across business units, functions, and geographies within the account.
• Drive account expansion through cross-sell and upsell opportunities across Data, Cloud, Analytics, AI, and Digital Transformation services.

Client Relationship Management

• Build and deepen executive-level relationships across business, technology, and operations functions.
• Leverage leadership relationships to increase Impetus' visibility and influence within the client organization.
• Present Impetus' capabilities, offerings, and solutions to expand account penetration and market share.
• Conduct executive reviews and strategic planning meetings with client stakeholders.

Solution Development & Delivery

• Collaborate closely with delivery, practice, and pre-sales teams to ensure successful execution and high customer satisfaction.
• Support solution development efforts by participating in client workshops, strategy discussions, and proposal development.
• Partner with solution architects and technical teams to develop winning proposals and long-term transformation roadmaps.

Business Development

• Create and execute Account-Based Marketing (ABM) plans to drive organic growth.
• Identify untapped business opportunities and new stakeholder groups within the account.
• Leverage partner ecosystems, including AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft, and Google Cloud, to generate growth opportunities.
• Evangelize the Impetus value proposition and drive adoption of innovative solutions.

Advocacy & Collaboration

• Act as the voice of the customer within Impetus.
• Work effectively across sales, delivery, marketing, and leadership teams.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on customer success.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with both client and Impetus leadership.
• Support timely resolution of commercial, contractual, and accounts receivable matters.

Key Requirements

• 8-15 years of experience in enterprise software, IT services, consulting, or technology sales.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in strategic account management and account growth roles.
• Strong farming experience with a demonstrated ability to hunt for and close new opportunities within existing accounts.
• Experience managing large BFSI accounts, including banking, payments, financial services, capital markets, or insurance organizations.
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth, account penetration, and multimillion-dollar consulting or technology engagements.
• Experience selling Data & AI, Cloud, Analytics, Digital Engineering, or Transformation services.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and negotiate at senior leadership levels.
• Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in globally distributed and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with leading IT services organizations
• Experience managing BFSI clients headquartered or operating in North America.
• Familiarity with Account-Based Growth, strategic account planning, and consultative selling methodologies.

Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
