Assistant Store Manager, Operations
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managed daily store operations while maintaining safety, organization, and compliance with company policies.
- Achieved goals related to inventory control, customer satisfaction, productivity, payroll, and expenses.
- Oversaw freight processing, inventory counts, cycle counts, and company asset tracking.
- Resolved customer issues promptly and ensured adherence to company standards.
- Led opening and closing procedures and served as manager-on-duty when needed.
- Ensured execution of merchandising, promotional displays, and visual standards.
- Supported hiring, training, scheduling, and development of supervisors and associates.
- Provided coaching and performance feedback to improve customer service and operational results.
- Partnered with leadership and HR to address employee relations and staffing matters.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Two or more years of experience with a major big box retailer
- Previous experience in all aspects of retail management: driving sales, merchandising, operations, freight flow and customer service
- Experience in human resources functions and capable of hiring, retaining and coaching qualified employees
