Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

A growing multidisciplinary healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join its expanding outpatient rehabilitation team.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Full Time
Location:  Paterson, NJ
Pay Rate: $36–40/hour (based on experience and specialty background)
Schedule:  Full-time, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by supervising Physical Therapists
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities
• Monitor and document patient progress throughout therapy sessions
• Educate patients on exercises and recovery techniques for continued progress at home
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized treatment areas and equipment
• Communicate patient updates and concerns with the rehabilitation and healthcare team
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with regulatory standards
• Support departmental initiatives and additional projects as needed

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program required
• Current NJ PTA license required
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• Previous outpatient, inpatient, or rehabilitation experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, patient safety practices, and medical terminology
• Ability to follow treatment plans accurately and effectively
