Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Rotating holidays and weekends required | Travelers are expected to work two of the three winter holidays | Block scheduling is not available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric nursing care for patients from 20 weeks gestation through 6 weeks postpartum
• Deliver care across Labor and Delivery rooms, OB Triage, OB Operating Rooms, and OB PACU
• Perform and interpret continuous electronic fetal monitoring; active fetal monitoring certification required (C-EFM preferred; AWHONN Intermediate accepted with requirement to obtain C-EFM if contract duration meets or exceeds one year)
• Manage OB Triage assessments and support family-centered birthing experiences in a modern, state-of-the-art unit
• Complete all required facility onboarding modules prior to start date (non-billable; average 4–5 hours, due no later than one week before start)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of current, strong Labor and Delivery RN experience
• OB Triage experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license must be in hand at time of submission — no exceptions
• Active fetal monitoring certification required: C-EFM preferred; AWHONN Intermediate accepted
• Local travelers are welcome; rates are the same regardless of proximity to the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• C-EFM certification (preferred over AWHONN Intermediate)
• Experience working in a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit with OB OR and OB PACU components
• Familiarity with Net Learning or similar online compliance/module platforms
