Pay Rate: $18.00/hr.

Job Summary:

9am to 6pm

Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Meat Cutter to join our team. This role is responsible for transforming large wholesale portions of beef, pork, and other meats into smaller, market-ready cuts for retail or distribution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to food safety standards while working in a cold environment.

Responsibilities:

• Cut, debone, trim, and shape meat into steaks, chops, roasts, and other portions
• Prepare specialty products such as ground meats and sausages
• Operate equipment including knives, band saws, and grinders safely and efficiently
• Accurately weigh, package, label, and price products for sale or distribution
• Inspect and unload incoming shipments, ensuring quality and accuracy
• Organize and maintain inventory in coolers and freezers
• Assist customers with custom cuts and provide product recommendations as needed

Requirements:
• Prior meat cutting or butchery experience preferred, But not required

• Proficiency with meat cutting tools and equipment
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper meat storage practices
• Ability to work in temperatures between 30°F and 50°F
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
• Ability to frequently lift up to 100 pounds
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
