Trailer Mechanic

We are currently searching for DOT registered inspector mechanics with 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience! Address: 1224 Channel Ave, Memphis, TN. 38103 Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Pay Range: $22.00 to $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months. Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:
- The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
- Tank service and repair, Betts valves, gaskets
- Trailer suspension installation and repair
- Experience with air brake systems and repairs
- Ability to use handheld diagnostic tools, tablets, basic tech skills
- TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience
- Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
