Land Surveyor

A growing commercial/industrial contractor is looking to add a Surveyor / Layout Technician to support structural foundation layout on active projects. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being in the field running layout but also has the ability to support the team on the office/technical side when needed. What You’ll Be Doing: Perform high-accuracy construction layout using a Trimble robotic total station Layout building lines, grids, foundations, anchor bolts, embeds, elevations, and control points Verify dimensions, perform as-builts, and ensure quality control across projects Coordinate with Superintendents and field teams to keep jobs moving efficiently Assist with .DWG files, layout prep, and point generation in the office Support estimating and project teams with takeoffs, coordination, and constructability input What They’re Looking For: Experience with construction layout for commercial/industrial projects Proficiency using a Trimble robotic total station Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings and plans Working knowledge of AutoCAD / .DWG workflows Strong attention to detail and accuracy (this role is critical to project success) Willingness to work both in the field and in the office as needed Why This Opportunity: Mix of field + office work (not stuck doing just one) Work on commercial and industrial projects Be a key player in ensuring projects are built accurately from the ground up Strong team environment with clear communication and support What Success Looks Like: Someone who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and communication — delivering precise layout, keeping teams aligned, and helping projects run smoothly with minimal rework.
