Registered Nurse – PICU

Location

Phoenix, AZ | Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week) | Days (0700–1930) | Onsite | Floating assignment across multiple campuses

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care appropriate to each patient's age and condition in accordance with evidence-based nursing and patient care practice standards
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, patient, and family to promote patient health and implement nursing and medical plans of care
• Adhere to hospital goals, values, and regulatory standards in all aspects of patient care delivery
• Float between multiple campuses as required by assignment needs
• Float to NICU and CVICU as part of this assignment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in a PICU setting
• ADN, BSN, or Diploma in Nursing required
• Current Arizona RN license or RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges (or ability to establish licensure per Arizona law prior to start date)
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
• Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association
• Compliance with facility vaccination and masking protocols required (flu vaccination required October–April; COVID-19 vaccination recommended)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience at a facility with a Level III or IV NICU strongly preferred
• Prior experience floating to CVICU and NICU
• Children's hospital experience preferred
• NRP certification preferred
