Maintenance Technician – Affordable Housing | East Patchogue, NY Salary: $23.00 - $28.00 | Full‑Time | Monday–Friday, 40hrs | On‑Call Rotation Keep Communities Running, Keep Families Thriving. What You’ll Bring 2+ years of apartment, residential, or facilities maintenance experience (painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring; HVAC experience a plus). A high school diploma or GED. Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally. Reliable transportation and flexibility to cover overtime or nearby communities when needed. Basic computer or mobile‑app skills for work orders, timekeeping, and training (we’ll train you!). Strong communication and customer‑service skills. Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills, a plus that helps connect with our residents. How You’ll Make An Impact Bring spaces to life – perform routine and preventative maintenance, including painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and cleaning. Care for the grounds – maintain curb appeal through landscaping, snow/ice removal, and seasonal upkeep. Respond with urgency – complete work orders promptly and rotate for emergency on‑call coverage (respond within 30 minutes). Prioritize quality & compliance – follow all safety, property, and inspection standards with precision.
