Job Summary and Qualifications

• Under the general direction of the Director, coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care. Nursing care is provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice, and the generic and unit structure standards. Pediatric patients between birth through 17 years of age.
• Build genuine connections with kids and families in this 9-bed Inpatient Pediatric Med-Surgical Unit; Close-knit team who supports each other like family; Engaging and rewarding work, every day brings variety, learning opportunities and the chance to make an impact in real time; Patient-centered focus; Supportive culture that values you with leadership listening.
• PRN Schedule: PRN options ranging from 3 shifts a month to 3 shifts a week; rates differ based on commitment level.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of school of nursing required. BSN preferred. 
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. 
• BLS (American Heart Association) on hire PALS, ACLS, and ENPC certifications within 6 months of hire TNCC certification within 12 months of hire. 
• Previous clinical experience in area of specialty preferred; One (1) year nursing experience required.
