Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Locums Neurosurgeon to join a growing neurosurgical program in Carbondale, Illinois. This opportunity offers a consistent full‑time schedule while providing high‑quality neurosurgical care to the surrounding community.

Schedule & Compensation

Schedule: PRN – as needed

Compensation: $4,500 per shift

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical and clinical care for patients with neurological conditions
• Perform a broad range of neurosurgical procedures with precision and clinical excellence
• Manage inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical cases
• Participate in call coverage as assigned
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of advancements in neurosurgery and apply best practices
• Participate in the education and training of medical students and residents as needed

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Neurosurgery Residency Program
• Board Certified in Neurosurgery
• Active Illinois medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Strong surgical skills with experience across a wide range of neurosurgical procedures
