Our organization is seeking a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Noninvasive Cardiologist for a faculty role that includes a dual appointment with a prominent university. This position will primarily be located at a Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center in Gainesville, FL.

This facility serves as a 240-bed tertiary referral center specializing in cardiovascular diseases within the VA system. We provide a comprehensive range of cardiovascular services, including on-site Cardiothoracic (CT) surgery, advanced interventional and structural procedures, Electrophysiology (EP) device placements and ablations, as well as cutting-edge imaging techniques such as 3D Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Positron Emission Tomography (PET) for perfusion studies, Cardiac Computed Tomography, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Your role will involve interpreting Electrocardiograms (ECGs), conducting exercise and pharmacologic stress tests, performing transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, and managing ambulatory cardiac monitors.

As a member of the Cardiology team, you will have the opportunity to mentor and supervise general cardiology fellows, advanced practice providers, and medical residents. The current VA cardiology staff includes 3 interventional cardiologists, 3 electrophysiologists, 6 noninvasive cardiologists, and 1 heart failure specialist, along with 10 Advanced Practice Professionals. Responsibilities will include shared assignments in the VA Coronary Care Unit and general consult services, with night and weekend call duties distributed among the cardiology faculty. You will be expected to manage both inpatient and outpatient care. Candidates are encouraged to engage in advanced cardiac imaging interpretations and participate in clinical trials and research activities based on their interests. Collaboration with the VA heart failure disease management group is preferred, and involvement with the university practice is negotiable.

Additionally, assistance with medical school loan repayment of up to $200,000 is offered.
