Technical Service Engineer Consultant

Position OverviewInternational is seeking a Technical Service Engineer Consultant. This is a hybrid technical role responsible for defining service methods and creating clear, user-focused technical documentation for workshop execution. This role ensures that repair, maintenance, and diagnostic solutions are both technically sound and practical in real-world environments. As vehicles become more complex and increasingly dependent on software and data, ensuring serviceability and clear documentation is critical. This role connects engineering, service operations, and documentation to deliver solutions that maximize efficiency, quality, and uptime.Why This Role, Why Now: Many organizations treat serviceability and documentation as downstream activities. This role is different. You will help ensure that service methods and documentation are considered early in the development process, improving product usability and reducing inefficiencies in the field. At the same time, increasing system complexity creates a growing need for clear, structured, and high-quality workshop information. This role plays a key part in bridging that gap between engineering and real-world execution.ResponsibilitiesDevelop safe, ergonomic, and efficient methods for repair, diagnostics, and troubleshootingEvaluate product concepts from a serviceability and workshop perspectiveDefine requirements to improve service efficiency, downtime, and usabilityCreate clear, structured technical documentation for repair, maintenance, and diagnosticsTranslate complex engineering solutions into practical, easy-to-follow instructionsProduce and maintain user-focused content, including text and illustrationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, production, and serviceEnsure documentation is aligned with product updates and lifecycle changesContribute to continuous improvement of service methods and documentation standardsMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degree and at least 2 years of technical service engineering, automotive service or truck service experienceORMaster's degree and at least 1 year of technical service engineering, automotive service or truck service experienceORAt least 5 years of technical service engineering, automotive service or truck service experienceAdditional RequirementsQualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
