Warehouse (Part-time Summer)The warehouse position is responsible for various duties related to the handling of materials in the warehouse. This position receives, stores and distributes material, tools equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.Reports to: Warehouse ManagerMinimum Qualifications:High School diploma/GED required3 to 4 years of experience in material handling preferred3 to 4 years of customer service experience preferred2+ years' experience in Electrical supply industry preferredWorking Conditions:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weight more than 75 pounds.Supervisory Responsibilities: NoEssential Job Functions:Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders to determine items to picked, packed, distributed or shipped/transferredMove materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequenceAssemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping departmentUse computer and RF guns to manage sales orders, inventory and enter information into business management systemParticipate in cycle counting of physical inventoryOpen boxes and other containersOperate wire cutter to cut wire according to customer ordersOperate forklift in warehouse settingSweep, dust and mop.
