Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 hours per week Experience: Preferred experience in acute care facility and EPIC License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must-Have: AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS, AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS, AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS Description: Located in a central region, this facility has been serving the community since 2018. It comprises an acute care hospital and emergency department. The area offers all-season outdoor recreation options such as camping, hiking, skiing, fishing, and boating. It is also within an hour's travel time to several national parks. The community features a great cost of living and close-knit neighborhoods. The registered nurse delivers coordinated nursing care to patients as per established standards. The role involves supervising and directing the activities of nursing staff and coordinating care with other disciplines. Critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent judgment are essential skills for this position. The nurse collects relevant patient data and analyzes it to determine diagnosis and care issues. They develop intervention plans to achieve desired outcomes and implement these plans effectively. Collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare providers is key to providing safe and humane care. The nurse also provides educational opportunities to patients and family members. They participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Proper delegation and coordination of duties among healthcare team members are required. Other job-related duties may be assigned as necessary. Compliance with vaccination requirements is mandatory for all associates.
