Engineering Manager - OEM Equipment Systems

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop mechanical engineering teams, providing technical direction, design oversight, workload planning, and project prioritization
• Oversee the design and development of capital equipment and material-handling systems, including conveyors, stackers, and other heavy industrial machinery
• Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, layouts, and specifications, ensuring equipment meets performance, safety, manufacturability, and cost objectives
• Lead complex technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, developing solutions related to materials, mechanisms, structural integrity, equipment performance, installation, and commissioning
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Project Management, Manufacturing, Operations, Sales, and customer-facing teams to support project schedules, budgets, production readiness, technical scoping, and customer requirements
• Drive continuous improvement within engineering, establishing best practices, standards, documentation, and improved design processes and workflows to enhance quality and scalability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required
• 7+ years of experience designing industrial machinery, capital equipment, or material-handling systems
• Experience designing OEM equipment systems is a must.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar)
• Proven experience leading mechanical engineering teams, manufacturing operations, and equipment-development initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to lead mechanical engineering projects, OEM equipment design, and process-improvement initiatives
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex equipment issues and collaborate effectively with manufacturing and maintenance teams

Salary: $120k - $150k/annum
