Senior Tax Accountant - OneSeven Advisors, LLC

Job Description

OneSeven Advisors is hiring an experienced tax professional to join our team in Old Town Fort Collins. This client-facing position is responsible for reviewing federal and state annual tax filings, quarterly and year-end tax estimates, and projections for U.S. partnerships, S corporations, and individuals, as well as leading strategic and transactional tax planning and consulting.

Compensation: $110,000 – $150,000, plus performance-based bonus eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Review federal returns, including Forms 1120-S, 1065, 1040, 1041, 990, and 709, and prepare complex returns as needed
\n
• Review Colorado and multi-state returns
\n
• Serve as a trusted contact, working closely with the engagement partner and client to build long-term relationships and respond to client questions and needs; client-facing responsibility grows with experience
\n
• Lead strategic tax planning, projections, and estimates for businesses, real estate structures, closely held investments, and individuals
\n
• Prepare strategic planning to support ongoing business, investment, and financial matters
\n
• Collaborate with clients’ attorneys, financial advisors, and other members of their professional team
\n
• Provide training, guidance, feedback to staff preparers
\n
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of organization charts, family trees, and balance sheets
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
\n
• Active CPA license
\n
• 3–5+ years of public accounting experience
\n
• Ability to organize, prepare, and review most types of tax returns, including individual, partnership, S corporation, trust, nonprofit, and corporate
\n
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, QuickBooks, and professional tax software; experience with CCH ProSystem fx preferred
\n
• Hard-working, self-motivated, and responsive, with an entrepreneurial spirit

Compensation and Benefits

Our team includes ten full-time associates: two with Deloitte backgrounds, four with master’s degrees in taxation, and six licensed CPAs, two aspiring, all with degrees in accounting. In addition, we retain two contractors, both with master’s degrees in taxation and Big Four experience. We have an experience office manager and a Chief of Staff to support non-tax work. We are building out our in-house team to accommodate organic growth and support the expanding needs of our clients.
