Job Title: Transport Vehicle Operator

Factory Location: Lindenhurst, NY Compensation: $33/hr. Shift differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked Schedule: Monday to Friday 3:00pm- 1:30am Ability to work holidays and weekends per business needs

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate transport vehicle. Ensuring vehicle meets all Department of Transportation (DOT) laws and company standards.
• Understanding of load and freight weight requirements.
• Operate forklift to unload and reload trailer with company products.
• Complete all required company and DOT required documents and reports.
• Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle.
• Ability to manage and track inventory.
• Protect company assets by securing product loads before and during transport.
• Complete comprehensive vehicle inspections.

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Minimum two years' experience driving tractor/trailers OTR.
• Ability to use a handheld device and application systems.
• Valid CDL Class A license Doubles and Tanker endorsement required.
• Must be able to meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration driver qualifications including pre-trip and post-trip requirements.
• Ability to safely lift up to 66 pounds. Repetitive motion when loading and securing products in trailer.
• Forklift experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer/data entry skills and basic math skills proficiency.
• Ability to drive tractor/trailer in all weather conditions (snow chain driving experience may be required for some locations).
• May be required to work up to 12-hour shifts (may vary by location) Manual Transmission experience required.
• Ability to operate: Single/Double/Triple Axle/Doubles/Side Loaders/53' Dry Vans
• Candidates must possess strong English language skills to effectively communicate with customers and provide exceptional service.
