The RN's area of competencies should include: Assisting the Radiation Oncologist in patient exams ordering diagnostic exams performing lab draws and special procedures. The RN coordinates the Radiation Oncologist's plan of care with the patient. The RN gathers evaluates and documents all patient information correctly in the EMR and provides patient education as necessary.

Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse in Tennessee is required. OCN certification is preferred. An associate's nursing degree is preferred. Two years of nursing experience is preferred.
