Export Control Attorney

Providing expert legal guidance, the full-time Export Control Attorney will counsel product development and engineering teams on U.S. export control regulations, focusing on dual-use items, while working remotely from anywhere in the continental U.S. Key responsibilities Offer day-to-day legal advice on U.S. export control regulations, particularly regarding dual-use items Counsel hardware engineering and supply chain teams on jurisdiction, classification, and licensing requirements throughout the product lifecycle Analyze export control implications of emerging technologies and provide guidance on international trade risks and cross-border technology transfers Required qualifications J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar 7+ years of legal experience specializing in export controls and international trade compliance Deep expertise in the EAR with a proven track record in complex classification and licensing matters Demonstrated experience counseling engineering and product teams on physical hardware and supply chains Experience advising on consumer hardware products and advanced robotics is preferred
