Tech - X-ray/Rad Tech

Job Description

Job Summary:
Operates x-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images as directed by physicians. Ensures patient safety, positions patients correctly, and maintains accurate documentation of procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and calibrate x-ray equipment for each procedure.
• Position patients accurately for optimal imaging results.
• Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns.
• Monitor and ensure patient safety throughout the exam.
• Produce diagnostic images and verify accuracy on PACS.
• Maintain detailed documentation of each examination performed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an associate's degree in radiologic technology or higher.
• Current ARRT-R certification required.
• Valid Radiologic Tech license in the state of practice (CA or HI).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
• Fluoroscopy license required within 6 months of hire in CA.
• Minimum of two years recent experience in radiologic technology.
