Operates x-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images as directed by physicians. Ensures patient safety, positions patients correctly, and maintains accurate documentation of procedures. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and calibrate x-ray equipment for each procedure.
- Position patients accurately for optimal imaging results.
- Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns.
- Monitor and ensure patient safety throughout the exam.
- Produce diagnostic images and verify accuracy on PACS.
- Maintain detailed documentation of each examination performed.
- Hold an associate's degree in radiologic technology or higher.
- Current ARRT-R certification required.
- Valid Radiologic Tech license in the state of practice (CA or HI).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
- Fluoroscopy license required within 6 months of hire in CA.
- Minimum of two years recent experience in radiologic technology.
