Infant Montessori Floater

We are seeking a caring, dependable Infant Montessori Floater to support our infant classrooms and provide coverage where needed. This role helps maintain a calm, nurturing environment where each child’s individual routines, development, and growing independence are respected.

Responsibilities include:

• Support teachers with daily classroom routines and staff break coverage.
• Provide attentive, responsive care, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and supporting sleep routines.
• Engage with infants at their level through warm conversation, floor play, songs, and age-appropriate activities.
• Encourage movement, exploration, and emerging independence using Montessori principles.
• Prepare, clean, and organize classroom materials and care areas.
• Follow each child’s care plan and all school supervision, sanitation, and safe-sleep procedures.
• Communicate observations and care updates to classroom teachers.
• Adapt to different classrooms while maintaining consistent, respectful care.

Qualifications:

• A patient, nurturing approach and a genuine interest in infant development.
• Reliability, flexibility, and strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry infants and comfortably sit, kneel, and work on the floor.
• Infant care experience preferred; Montessori experience is welcome.
• Ability to meet required background checks and complete applicable training and certifications.
