Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Overview Industrial Maintenance Mechanic at TruRoots in Havre de Grace, MD. Focus on preventative maintenance and repair of industrial equipment. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret diagrams, operations manuals, and engineering specs. Diagnose problems by observing equipment and using precision tools. Perform basic electrical repairs, troubleshooting panels, and welding/fabrication tasks. Inspect, repair, or rebuild machine components (gearboxes, bearings, motors). Support daily operations, changeovers, and work orders. Conduct start‑up, shutdown, blowdown, and chemical checks on boilers, compressors, and refrigeration systems. Requirements High school diploma or GED. 3–5 years of experience repairing industrial equipment. Experience in food, beverage, or manufacturing a plus. Electrical and PLC control troubleshooting a plus. Welding and metal fabrication skills strongly preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older. Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in temperature extremes. Basic math skills for measuring and setting equipment. Benefits Starting pay $32.50–$35.00/hour with quarterly bonus.
