Details Float pool position based out of the McCann unit, covering Med/Surg Tele and Tele units including medical, surgical, and observation patients Travelers may be placed across two different units within a single 12-hour shift based on census and staffing needs Float pool is staffed alongside PCAs and OAs, with placement determined during bed meetings Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Every other weekend coverage required Charting via Cerner EMR Requirements Active MA RN license required Current certifications: BLS and ACLS Minimum 2–3 years of RN experience required Cardiac nursing experience required Med/Surg Tele or Tele unit experience required Epic or Cerner EMR experience required Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply with the appropriate experience The facility uses the Avasure video monitoring system, which can monitor up to 12 patients simultaneously — float pool nurses may be asked to cover the Avasure office and relieve the assigned monitor tech for breaks and meals Any time off requests should be disclosed at the time of application American Traveler Job ID #P-713403.
