Senior Salesforce QA Engineer _ Banking & Member Servicing

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills We are seeking a Senior Salesforce QA Engineer with strong banking or credit union experience and hands-on expertise testing Salesforce applications used by Member Service Representatives (MSRs), contact center agents, and branch staff.

• Salesforce Service Cloud testing experience
• Salesforce application testing (minimum 3+ years)

• Testing Salesforce customizations: o Lightning Web Components (LWC) o Salesforce Flows o Validation Rules o Approval Processes o Apex business logic • API testing using Postman or equivalent tools • Strong understanding of: o API authentication o Request/response validation o Error handling o status codes • SOQL and SQL for data validation • Test automation experience using: o Selenium o Playwright o Provar o Equivalent automation frameworks

• End-to-end integration testing across multiple platforms
• Data validation, reconciliation, and synchronization testing

• Security testing: o Profiles o Permission Sets o Sharing Rules o Field-Level Security o Audit History • Defect investigation and root cause analysis • Experience with: o Browser Developer Tools o Logs analysis o API response analysis o Correlation identifiers

• Jira and Xray (or equivalent test management tools)

Roles & Responsibilities The candidate must understand how representatives access member information, fulfill service requests, resolve cases, and support lending and deposit activities. This role requires independent test ownership, strong integration testing skills, and the ability to identify risks beyond documented requirements.

• Own test planning, scenario design, execution, defect management, regression testing, and release readiness for Salesforce member servicing applications.
• Validate representative workflows, including member search, identity verification, Member 360 views, account inquiries, profile maintenance, service requests, escalations, and interaction history.
• Test banking journeys involving deposits, loans, cards, payments, and transfers, including exceptions, reversals, and downstream updates where applicable.
• Validate Salesforce Service Console functionality, including case creation, routing, queues, assignment rules, entitlements, SLAs, knowledge articles, and guided workflows.
• Test Salesforce configurations and customizations, including LWC, Flow, validation rules, approval processes, and business logic implemented in Apex.
• Perform end-to-end testing across Salesforce, MuleSoft APIs, core banking platforms, document management systems, and other connected applications.
• Verify data mapping, accuracy, reconciliation, and synchronization; investigate missing, delayed, duplicate, or inconsistent transactions and records.
• Validate profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, field-level security, sensitive member data access, and audit history.
• Design negative and boundary scenarios covering API failures, timeouts, retries, duplicate submissions, concurrent updates, and interrupted servicing sessions.
• Build and maintain automated regression tests, support UAT with servicing teams, and provide clear test evidence and release recommendations.

Generic Managerial Skills, If any Required experience and skills

• 6+ years of software QA experience, including 3+ years testing Salesforce and substantial banking or credit union application experience.
• Direct experience testing applications used by member service representatives, banking customer service representatives, contact center agents, or branch employees.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce Service Cloud; Financial Services Cloud experience is highly desirable.
• Practical understanding of deposit servicing, consumer lending, member/account relationships, and service request lifecycles.
• Hands-on API testing using Postman or an equivalent tool, including authentication, request/response validation, error handling, and status codes.
• Ability to use SOQL and SQL to validate Salesforce records and downstream data.
• Experience with test automation using Selenium, Playwright, Provar, or an equivalent framework, including maintainable Salesforce UI tests.
• Strong defect investigation skills using logs, browser developer tools, API responses, and correlation identifiers.
• Experience with Jira, Xray or equivalent test management tools, Agile delivery, and CI/CD regression execution.
• Ability to explain business impact, challenge incomplete requirements, and communicate release risks clearly.

Preferred experience

• Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, OmniStudio, Experience Cloud, and telephony/CTI integrations.
• MuleSoft integrations and core banking platforms such as Hogan.
• Accessibility, performance, and session management testing for high-volume servicing environments.
• Agentforce testing, including grounded responses, permitted actions, human handoffs, and protection of member information.
