At Good Nature Insurance Agency, the Insurance Agent will provide professional, top-notch service while helping clients find the best personal lines coverage for their needs, including auto and homeowners insurance. Reporting to the Agency Owner, this role combines lead development, client advising, policy sales, and ongoing service. New business will come from agency-provided leads, self-generated prospecting, referral partners, and community networking. This position offers a growth path to Senior Agent.

 

Responsibilities

• Develop leads, schedule appointments, and prepare policy quotes.
• Analyze clients’ current coverage and available options to identify their specific insurance needs.
• Advise clients on personal lines coverage, charges, and policy options.
• Complete applications and paperwork accurately to obtain underwriting approval.
• Coordinate with insurance carriers and underwriting teams throughout the application process.
• Build relationships with referral partners through marketing and networking activities.
• Generate business through agency-provided leads, self-directed prospecting, referral partners, and community events.
• Service existing clients by assisting with billing, payments, endorsements, and coverage questions.
• Follow up on client claims and help ensure they are processed appropriately.
• Monitor insurance trends and changes to carrier coverage offerings.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in insurance sales or client servicing.
• State insurance producer license for applicable lines of authority. Reimbursement available if not licensed when offered position.
• Strong communication skills.
• Relationship-building and networking skills.
• Sales experience and ability.
